Job overview:

This position is the Account and Consumer Contact for Two Roads Brewing Company in upstate New York. The goal of the sales manager is to increase sales in his territory by identifying new distribution opportunities and promoting the growth of existing accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for craft beer and will represent the TRB brand to consumers, accounts and our wholesale partner.


  • 3+ years in the craft beer industry or related beverage sales experience
  • Direct sales experience in upstate New York
  • Applicant must reside in the upstate New York area
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within state territory
  • Proficiency in Word, spreadsheets, VIP / iDig and Lilypad preferred
  • Detail-oriented and motivated
  • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with team members, accounts and out-of-state wholesalers

Essential tasks and responsibilities:

  • Build an account base by targeting new or non-buyer accounts
  • Drive account growth to increase sales
  • Work with the territory team and the wholesaler to identify opportunities
  • Identify and communicate channel opportunities to the channel team
  • Create target lists and collected data to create routes that target opportunities
  • Be the direct representative of the brewery to the consumer in the designated territory
  • Plan, organize and represent the brewery at public events
  • Plan and execute on-site events with an emphasis on fostering supportive relationships with the accounts
  • Conduct off-site tastings to support accounts and interact directly with consumers
  • Achieve planned sales and distribution goals
  • Provide direct feedback to the manager and team on accounts and distributor relationships
  • Provide management with a weekly report to recap the previous week and summarize plans for the coming week
  • Conduct training for waiters / bartenders
  • Ensure good merchandising on and off site
  • Track and monitor progress across all accounts using Lilypad
  • Create and maintain profiles for all accounts using Lilypad
  • Work with the Brand Manager and Distributor team to promote sales, brand awareness and consumption
  • Perform all administrative responsibilities in a timely manner
  • Welcoming retailers and distributors at the brewery
  • Participate in collaborations with wholesalers in the territory

Professional relationships :

  • The sales manager should work independently, as well as with his wholesalers, to identify new opportunities.
  • Sales Managers report directly to the Regional Manager and work with Sales Managers, the Channel Team and the Marketing Team.
