New on-tap self-storage educational products provide holiday cheers

I don’t like to think of myself as a beer snob, but I probably do. When there is finally a chill in the air, my taste buds begin to crave a seasonal beer. Once fall arrives, I gradually start mixing pumpkin beer, winter spice beer, and a favorite dark beer into my usual hot-weather IPA and foggy IPA rotation. The craft beer industry has grown into a 12-month marketing juggernaut with seasonal releases, but fall and winter in particular always bring a deluge of new products to the market.

Here has Inside the self-storage, the master brewers at the ISS Store have also worked hard to produce our annual winter releases, which tend to be some of our bestsellers every year. Here’s a quick rundown of what to expect this season:

Self-storage maintenance package

Last week we released our “2022 Self-Storage Maintenance Package: Monthly Task Schedules and Guide. “This is the seventh year that we have produced the Annual Self Storage Maintenance Package, specially designed for facility managers. It includes detailed and customizable monthly calendars outlining tasks by day, week and season. , with color coded items based on frequency, and each page also has a handy daily checklist.

The 2022 package Also includes a 97-page eBook of expert maintenance advice, with several new articles added this year. The new material covers general site maintenance, roof maintenance, security components, digital assets, site remediation and more.

The contents of the package are available as a downloadable zip file, which includes 12 individual calendars in PDF and Microsoft Word formats. Customizable Word templates allow users to adapt to their particular schedule and needs. A simple PDF calendar is also included for those who want to print all year round without having to access individual files.

ISS 2022 Guide Series

It’s hard to believe this month will mark the 12th release of our Guide series, which has grown in popularity since we first introduced article anthologies in 2011. In fact, we ran out of our initial softcover allocation this year and needed a short run emergency to wait for us until we can get the 2022 guides through production. Available in digital and soft-cover formats, the Facility Operation and Construction / Investment Guides offer essential information and advice on self-storage ownership, facility management, marketing, construction, investment, technology, complementary products and services, and much more.

Next week will see the official release of the 2022 series. As always, the Facilities Operations Guide offers a wealth of management and ownership information through 11 categorical sections ranging from Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing and from technology to staffing, career development, outsourcing and more. The widely popular Building / Investing Guidebook, designed for those looking to establish or expand an operation, covers investment and real estate, finance, planning and development, and design and construction. The two thematic guides are the largest we have produced. A serial package will offer a nice discount compared to the purchase of the two books individually.

As you are no doubt aware, there are supply chain issues affecting every industry and every sector imaginable. Publishing is not immune. We are working with our printer to ensure as quick a delivery date as possible for printed books, but paper shortages may require us to push back the delivery dates for soft covers to customers later than originally planned. Please keep an eye out for our email, press release and in-store product promotion pages, which (if needed) will indicate when we expect the first items to be mailed. As always, we thank you for your patience in the event of delays.

Vacation break

In addition to finalizing the final versions of our products for the year, the ISS team took care of planning the ISS World Expo 2022, which will take place April 19-22 in Las Vegas. The show is going well, and I think you’ll be delighted with the full list of seminars and educational workshops we have available, including a few new rides.

With this year’s event being held in July due to the pandemic, the planning for the 2022 exhibit has been condensed from its usual schedule and stalled at the same time as working on all educational video about the exhibition of the 2021 event, the new products described above, the new initiatives to be rolled out in the new year and our regular and ongoing content feed through the print magazine and online resources.

It’s been a heavy workload, so to catch our breath, find some well-deserved rest and spend some quality time with our loved ones, the team is closing in the last two weeks of December. As websites do, the ISS store will remain open. All digital products will continue to automatically ship to your account library immediately after purchase. Of course, this also means that there will be delays in responding to customer service inquiries as well as in shipping any paper products that require courier delivery. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this causes and greatly appreciate your understanding and patience.

We look forward to providing more stellar products and services to you in 2022. I sincerely hope you all have a happy and fulfilling holiday season and an incredibly prosperous and healthy New Year! Please stay safe and be well. Cheers!
