Elk Brewing Company to close its Comstock Park site on January 16
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A sad day has come for many beer lovers in the Grand Rapids area with the permanent closure of the Elk Brewing Company in Comstock Park.
The brewery, located at 400 Dodge Street, is enjoying its last week of operation with Sunday June 16 announced as its last day, according to Elk Brewing Facebook Post.

The joint near the Fifth Third Ballpark opened in 2016. The 5,000 square foot space with rustic garage doors held about 100 people inside and 120 on the outdoor patio.
“It was a very difficult decision, and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support over the years,” the Facebook post said.
Elk Brewing did not respond to requests for information on the reason for closing its second location prior to publication.
Officials said on Facebook that he was extending Mug Club prices to his loyal Mug Clubbers throughout this week, as well as a $ 1 reduction on all full payments to the general public, according to the Facebook post. There is also $ 1 off all Crowlers / Howlers and $ 2 off Growlers all week.
Although a location is closed, the Grand Rapids Faucet Room at 700 Wealthy Street will remain open and will continue to operate as normal.
Comstock Park’s hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
