Bobcaygeon Brewing Company has teamed up with other local sports teams such as the Petes of Peterborough and their lager, which was released on March 11 last year. Photo courtesy of Bobcaygeon Brewing Company.

“The community is hugely important to us at the brewery and the community support for ECFC before they played their first match made us even more excited to partner with the team,” said said Richard Wood, chairman of the BBC. “We can’t wait to crack a cold Electric Ale while cheering on the team this summer.”

Electric Ale is a Belgian-style lager with an alcohol content of 4.2 percent. It is available at the Bobcaygeon Brewing Company store at 649 The Parkway and on their website starting Friday with pre-orders available Wednesday.

“Electric Ale is a locally brewed Belgian-style lager that will quench your thirst while you cheer on the team,” Wood explained. “A hint of lemon and coriander on your first sip slowly fades into a clean, refreshing finish.”

There will be a joint launch event at the Bobcaygeon Brewery to promote and sell the beer on Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

ECFC staff will be on hand with merchandise and season ticket vouchers. ECFC players Zach Ellis-Hayden and Angelika Mihalopulous will be present from 4-6 p.m. for a meeting with the fans.

“We are delighted to continue our commitment to involving the local community in any way possible,” said Rob Jenkins, ECFC President, “Bobcaygeon was a natural choice for our ECFC beer with its local ties to the community and the fact that Richard and his team have been involved in the project from day one.

Beer will also be available in the Y-Drive Beer Gardens and VIP tents at all ECFC home games.

“The beer gardens are an important part of the playing experience we’re trying to create here in Peterborough,” said Jenkins, “having our own locally brewed ECFC beer available at our matches just adds to the excitement. experience.”
