1840 Brewing Company encourages Brew Crew with a new beer

MILWAUKEE – What better way to celebrate Milwaukee Brewers than with beer.

The 1840 Brewing Company in Milwaukee is celebrating the playoff race with a new flagship beer.

“We can all name beers, launch styles of beer, and add any type of ingredient,” said brewer Casey Seymour.

Seymour came up with the idea for the new beer, the “Two-Fisted Slopper”. The drink is brewed and double dry hopped with Idaho 7 hop hash, Vic Secret and El Dorado hops.

He said the Two-Fisted Slopper was a character in a public safety video of bleacher drunkenness that has played for years at County Stadium.

“We thought it was pretty funny,” Seymour said. “We don’t want to encourage super rowdy behavior, but we want people to have a good time. The Brewers are in the playoffs.

While he chose to support the Brewers’ playoff run with this fun version of the County Stadium safety video, his loyalty lies elsewhere.

“To be honest, I was born and raised a Cubs fan,” he said.

While that’s not what a Brewers fan might want to hear, Seymour is a great team player and supports the city.

“I love my city, so right now I’m cheering on the crew,” he said.

The new drink debuted this week and is available for purchase by the bottle in 1840.
